Mom’s Botox Poison Cooling Down
Spoke to Mom today on the phone. She called me this time. Usually we correspond via e-mail. Anyway, she didn’t sound good at all. I knew something was wrong. Her voice sounded strained, stressed, and rich with struggling effort to maintain a normal, even-keel flow of dialogue.
Turns out one of her aunt’s died. It put her down until an all day sleep. Of course, who knows how bad it really was for her. Mom tries to keep as much as she can from me about her Botox-related injury. Hearing her so upset–geez man, it bothers me so much. Mom’s A/C isn’t working all that great, and I’m afraid for her health due to the blazing heat down south.
I wanted her to go stay with my Dad who lives about 20 minutes away. She said she’d go, but I knew it wasn’t the truth. At the time, I felt pretty bad from my recent surgery, so I kinda lost it on her. I finally declared that she didn’t sound good and wanted to know what was going on.
I don’t know. I feel things are hopeless. I received an e-mail from her today. She said she hasn’t had any strange Botox side effects of excessive heat. That’s great. But, ultimately, she doesn’t sound anything like what she used to be.
How sobering this is… I pray she is able to enjoy life as much as possible, and my God bless her. Enough for now. My tailbone is hurting from sitting so long.
